There is a crisis in our health care system. Our hospitals are being pushed to a breaking point and patients are receiving care in hallways. For the last 15 years, the Liberals’ mismanagement of the health care system has been defined by scandals and waste. They’ve poured money into senior health care bureaucracy and made cuts to front-line health care workers. The Ontario PC’s will move forward with OHIP+ for children under the age of 25 and you can count on us to deliver care throughout our mandate and not just in election years.
Ontario’s health care system deserves change that will respect patients, and health care professionals. Our message to the people who are waiting, and for the people who are frustrated, is that help is on the way.
The Ontario PCs will end hallway health care by:
- The Ontario PCs are going to invest in 15,000 new long-term care beds in five
years, and 30,000 new beds over the next 10 years.
- The Ontario PCs are going to listen to health care professionals, including the
nurses and doctors who are on the frontlines.
- Invest $3.8Billion in mental health, including matching federal funds.
